Anonymous asked: Has any one been fishing from the shore at braunig lately? If so, how was the bite? Any tips you could give on depth, bait best time would be great. Trying to introduce fishing to a little guy so it would certainly help me get him interested if we could catch some fish.
Fishing from the shore @ Braunig is popular and quite productive. However from the shore one needs to wade out and throw the line far enough to reach deeper water. Live crawfish, shrimp, and cut baits work very well. The shore line north of the fishing pier is the deeper water where reds are normally caught. The best times will vary for the fish to be feeding.
